Managing Connected Accounts

Learn how to view, sync, and manage your connected social media accounts.

Overview

The Accounts page is your central hub for managing all your connected social media accounts. From here, you can view account details, sync data, and disconnect accounts when needed.

Viewing Account Details

Each connected account displays important information:

  • Profile Information: Account name, username, and profile picture
  • Follower Count: Current number of followers (updated when you sync)
  • Last Sync: When the account data was last synchronized
  • Platform: Which social media platform the account is from

To view your accounts, navigate to "Accounts" in the dashboard navigation menu.

Syncing Account Data

Syncing your accounts updates the latest information from each platform, including:

  • Follower count and growth
  • Post engagement metrics (likes, saves, clicks, comments)
  • Impressions and reach data
  • Account profile information

How to Sync

  1. Go to the "Accounts" page
  2. Find the account you want to sync
  3. Click the "Sync" button next to the account
  4. Wait for the sync to complete (this may take a few seconds)

Tip: Sync your accounts regularly to keep your analytics and metrics up to date. We recommend syncing at least once a day for accurate data.

Disconnecting Accounts

If you no longer want to use an account with PostLoudly, you can disconnect it:

  1. Go to the "Accounts" page
  2. Find the account you want to disconnect
  3. Click the delete/disconnect button (trash icon)
  4. Confirm the disconnection in the popup dialog

Important: Complete Disconnection

When you disconnect an account, PostLoudly will:

  • Revoke the access token on our side
  • Delete all stored account data from PostLoudly
  • Stop making API calls to that account

However, you'll also need to manually revoke access from the platform's security settings to completely remove PostLoudly from your account. You'll be redirected to instructions after disconnecting.

Understanding Account Status

Accounts can have different statuses:

Connected

The account is successfully connected and ready to use. You can publish posts and view analytics.

Needs Sync

The account is connected but hasn't been synced recently. Click "Sync" to update the data.

Connection Error

There's an issue with the account connection. You may need to reconnect the account.

Managing Multiple Accounts

You can connect multiple accounts from the same platform or different platforms:

  • Connect multiple Pinterest accounts to manage different boards or brands
  • Connect accounts from different platforms to publish to all of them simultaneously
  • Each account is managed independently with its own sync status and metrics
  • When creating a post, you can select which accounts to publish to

Troubleshooting

Sync Not Working?

If syncing fails:

  • Check your internet connection
  • Try syncing again after a few moments
  • Disconnect and reconnect the account if the issue persists

Account Not Showing Data?

If account details are missing:

  • Click "Sync" to fetch the latest data
  • Make sure the account is properly connected
  • Check that you have the necessary permissions on the platform
