Understanding Templates
Learn how to use templates to create beautiful social media content quickly and easily.
What are Templates?
Templates are pre-designed HTML layouts that you can customize with your own content. They provide a professional starting point for creating visual social media posts, saving you time and ensuring consistent, high-quality designs.
Each template is built with HTML and Tailwind CSS, allowing for beautiful, responsive designs that work perfectly for social media platforms. Templates are designed specifically for creating image-based content that you can publish to platforms like Pinterest, Instagram, and more.
How Templates Work
When you select a template, it comes with:
- Pre-designed Layout: A professional design structure that you can customize
- Dynamic Fields: Placeholders for content like text, quotes, titles, and images
- Preview Values: Example content that shows you what the template looks like
- Customizable Attributes: Different templates have different fields you can fill in
As you fill in the template fields, a live preview updates in real-time, showing you exactly how your final post will look.
Template Attributes
Each template has specific attributes (fields) that you can customize. Common attributes include:
Text Content
- Quotes
- Titles
- Headings
- Body text
Visual Elements
- Images
- Background colors
- Icons
- Graphics
Styling

Conditional Display

- Optional fields
- Dynamic content
How to Use Templates
Step 1: Browse Templates
Go to the "Templates" page in your dashboard to see all available templates. Each template shows a preview with example content, so you can see what it looks like before selecting it.
Step 2: Select a Template
Click on a template to select it. You can also filter templates by usage count to see the most popular ones. Once selected, you'll be taken to the post creation page with that template loaded.
Step 3: Fill in Content Fields
The "Content" form will show fields specific to your selected template. Fill in each field with your content. The preview on the right will update automatically as you type, showing you exactly how your post will look.
Step 4: Preview and Publish
Review the preview to make sure everything looks good. Once satisfied, select your platforms and publish, schedule, or save as a draft.
Understanding Template Previews
Templates display preview values when you first see them. These are example texts and content that show you:
- What the template design looks like
- Where each field appears in the layout
- How your content will be styled
- The overall aesthetic and feel of the template
When you start filling in the form fields, the preview updates with your actual content. If you leave a field empty, the preview value will be used as a placeholder when generating the final image.
Choosing the Right Template
Different templates work better for different types of content:
- Quote Templates: Perfect for inspirational quotes, tips, or key messages
- Product Showcase: Great for highlighting products, features, or services
- Announcement Templates: Ideal for news, updates, or important information
- Educational Content: Best for tutorials, tips, or how-to content
Consider your brand style, the message you want to convey, and the platform you're publishing to when selecting a template.
