Creating a New Post

Learn how to create and publish social media posts using PostLoudly's templates and tools.

Overview

Creating a post in PostLoudly is a straightforward process. You'll select a template, customize it with your content, choose which platforms to publish to, and then either publish immediately, schedule for later, or save as a draft.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Navigate to Create Post

From your dashboard, click on "Posts" in the navigation menu, then click the "Create Post" button. Alternatively, you can click the "Create Post" button directly from the dashboard header.

Step 2: Select a Template

Browse through the available templates and select one that fits your content style. Templates are pre-designed layouts that you can customize with your own text, images, and branding.

Each template has different attributes and fields that you can fill in. The template preview will show you what the final post will look like.

Step 3: Fill in Content Fields

Once you've selected a template, you'll see a form with fields specific to that template. Common fields include:

  • Quotes or text content
  • Titles and headings
  • Images or graphics
  • Colors and styling options

As you fill in the fields, the preview on the right side of the page will update in real-time to show you how your post will look.

Step 4: Select Platforms and Accounts

In the "Select Platforms" section, choose which social media accounts you want to publish to. You can select multiple platforms at once.

For Pinterest, you'll need to:

  • Select a board (or create a new one)
  • Enter a pin title (required)
  • Optionally add a description
  • Optionally add a link

Step 5: Preview Your Post

The preview panel on the right side of the page shows you exactly how your post will appear. Make sure everything looks good before publishing. The preview updates automatically as you make changes to the content fields.

Step 6: Publish, Schedule, or Save as Draft

Once you're satisfied with your post, you have three options:

  • Publish Now: Immediately publishes your post to all selected platforms
  • Schedule: Opens a modal where you can select a date and time to publish in the future
  • Save Draft: Saves your post as a draft so you can edit and publish it later

Tips for Creating Great Posts

  • Choose templates that match your brand's style and aesthetic
  • Use clear, compelling text that resonates with your audience
  • Preview your post before publishing to ensure it looks good
  • Consider scheduling posts for optimal engagement times
  • Save drafts if you're not ready to publish yet - you can always edit them later
