Saving Drafts
Learn how to save posts as drafts so you can edit and publish them later.
What are Drafts?
Drafts are posts that you've created but haven't published yet. They allow you to save your work in progress, make changes later, and publish when you're ready. Drafts are perfect for when you want to refine your content, wait for the right time to publish, or collaborate with others before going live.
When to Use Drafts
Drafts are useful in several scenarios:
- You're still working on the content and want to save your progress
- You need to review or get approval before publishing
- You want to create multiple posts in advance and publish them later
- You're not sure about the timing and want to decide later
- You want to test different versions of a post before choosing the final one
How to Save a Draft
Step 1: Create Your Post
Start creating your post as usual. Select a template, fill in the content fields, and select your platforms. You don't need to complete everything—drafts can be saved with partial information.
Step 2: Click "Save Draft"
In the preview sidebar on the right side of the page, click the "Save Draft" button. Your post will be saved immediately with a "draft" status.
Step 3: Access Your Draft Later
After saving, you'll be redirected to the "All Posts" page where you can see your draft. You can also find drafts by filtering the posts list by "Draft" status.
Editing Draft Posts
To edit a draft post:
- Go to the "All Posts" page
- Find your draft post (it will have a "Draft" status badge)
- Click on the post or click "Edit" to open the edit page
- Make your changes to the content, template, or platforms
- Click "Save Changes" to update the draft, or publish it directly
Publishing Drafts
When you're ready to publish a draft, you have two options:
From the View Page
Open the draft post to view its details. In the actions section, you'll see "Publish Now" and "Schedule" buttons. Click "Publish Now" to immediately publish, or "Schedule" to set a future publication date.
From the Edit Page
When editing a draft, you can make changes and then publish it directly. After saving your changes, you can publish the post from the view page.
