Viewing Post Details

Learn how to view detailed information about your posts, including content, platforms, engagement metrics, and more.

Overview

The post details page provides a comprehensive view of a single post, showing all its information, content, platforms, engagement metrics, and available actions. This is where you can see everything about a post in one place.

How to View Post Details

You can access the post details page in several ways:

  • From All Posts: Click on any post card in the "All Posts" page
  • From Calendar: Click on a scheduled post in the calendar view
  • From Recent Activity: Click on a post in the recent activity feed
  • Direct URL: Navigate to `/dashboard/posts/[post-id]`

Post Information Displayed

The post details page shows comprehensive information:

Post Header

  • Post title (extracted from content or platform data)
  • Post status badge (Published, Scheduled, or Draft)
  • Publication or modification date

Post Preview

A full-size preview of how the post appears, showing the final image that was or will be published. The preview displays at its natural aspect ratio without cropping.

Platform Information

For each platform the post was published to, you'll see:

  • Platform name and icon
  • Account name and profile picture
  • Platform-specific details (e.g., Pinterest board name, pin title)
  • Engagement metrics (likes, saves, clicks, comments, impressions)
  • Platform post ID (if available)

Metadata

  • Template used
  • Number of platforms
  • Total engagement across all platforms
  • Creation date
  • Last update date

Understanding Post Status

Posts can have three different statuses, each with different information and actions available:

Published

Published Posts

Shows:

  • Publication date and time
  • Engagement metrics from all platforms
  • Platform-specific post IDs
  • Total engagement summary

Actions: View only (published posts cannot be edited)

Scheduled

Scheduled Posts

Shows:

  • Scheduled date and time
  • Platforms selected for publishing
  • Post content and preview

Actions: View details, edit (if still a draft), or publish now

Draft

Draft Posts

Shows:

  • Last modification date
  • All content and platform selections
  • Post preview

Actions: Edit, Publish Now, or Schedule

Actions for Draft Posts

If you're viewing a draft post, you'll see action buttons in the sidebar:

Publish Now

Immediately publishes the post to all selected platforms. The post status will change to "Published" and it will appear on your social media accounts.

Schedule

Opens a prompt to set a future date and time for publication. The post will be saved as "Scheduled" and appear in your calendar.

Edit Post

Takes you to the edit page where you can modify the post content, platforms, and other details.

Viewing Engagement Metrics

For published posts, you can see detailed engagement metrics:

  • Per-Platform Metrics: Each platform shows its own engagement data (likes, saves, clicks, comments, impressions)
  • Total Engagement: Sum of all engagement across all platforms
  • Account Information: Which account the post was published to, with profile picture and name
  • Platform Post ID: The unique identifier for the post on that platform

Note: Metrics are updated when you sync your accounts. Make sure to sync regularly to see the latest engagement data.
